A: The term "Green" in Denver Green School refers to the current national Green Movement-focusing on the ecological responsibility of carbon footprint reduction and a focus on environmental and social sustainability.

A: Denver Green School will focus on:

Q: How will core academic courses be taught?
A: Core academic class such as: Reading, Math, SCience, History will be taught using project-based and individualized learning classroom techniques. Researched based curriculum will be the foundational framework for how we meet and exceed CO standards.

Q: What grades will The Denver Green School serve?
A: When Denver Green School opens in the fall 2010, it will serve ECE, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 6th grades. DGS will serve a total of 220 students in its first year.

  • Fall 2011, DGS will serve ECE, K,1,2,3, 6 th and 7th (335 students)
  • Fall 2012, DGS will serve ECE, K,1,2,3,4,6 th,7th and 8th (430 students)
